About Me
Like many kids, when I was young I was often told that I was too sensitive. As if taking things in and feeling deeply was somehow wrong. Years later, being tuned-in to people’s expressions and body language and being able to quickly take their emotional temperature became pivotal to my success as a photographer. Today, I️'m known for the exceptional emotional content of my photographs.
When I’m photographing a bar mitzvah or bat mitzvah party, I’m extremely attentive and totally focused on the family and the people closest to them. I do my best to move surreptitiously through the party, blending into the crowd, not making a big show of being the photographer. I never want to interrupt what’s happening in front of me.
I'm always on the lookout for love and joy. I observe, anticipate and capture fleeting expressions, gestures and interactions. These are the genuine, organic moments that will remind my clients not merely what their day looked like but how they felt in the midst of it.
I consider being asked to photograph a bar or bat mitzvah a privilege and a sacred honor. I'd love to get to know you and your family and be a part of your milestone.
When I’m not working my life centers around my wife and our two kids. We love the performing arts and traveling, both to new places and to mid-coast Maine again and again.
We have fun exploring New York City, finding hidden rocky beaches, playing Scrabble, tasting new wines and cooking dinner together. I tend to get stuck doing the dishes.
